A Federal UK

Conclusions.

It’s clear that devolution was never meant to ‘Improve Politics’ as stated in New Labour’s manifesto of 1997-8. From the very beginning, it was implemented in such a weighted manner, that it was virtually guaranteed to push Scotland towards an attempt at independence and at the same time cause a growing resentment towards being part of a United Kingdom. With a push by New Labour to introduce regional assemblies in England, while at the same time encouraging mass immigration into Britain, particularly England, it’s my opinion that New Labour’s intention was to destroy England as a country, the English people as a nation and by breaking up Britain, preventing Britain being able to  leave the EU. On top of which they gave Wales an assembly knowing that it would lead to an increase of resentment, however large or small, between the English and the Welsh. The Barnett formula was again an instrument for causing resentment between England, Scotland and Wales and part of a package that they hoped would not only prevent Britain from leaving the EU, but hopefully push Britain into the Euro-zone itself.

Well we’ve had mass immigration for several years now and as expected there are many more people in Britain today, that perhaps would not have been had New Labour not got it’s way. Scotland has had it’s referendum on independence and they chose NO. That’s one in the eye of Labour. Though there is now increased resentment between England, Scotland and Wales that perhaps was not there before. Even now Labour does not give up on doing England in. The latest of several plans would see England broken into two parts, a North and a South, each having it’s own assembly and the London area being self contained. What next? I only know this, it’s my opinion that until England has it’s own parliament (devolved or not), Labour presents a clear and present danger to England and the English people.

As for the LiberalDemocrats, They’re just a bunch of Europhiles who think more of being in Europe rather than what they can do best for Britain. As for some aspects of Conservatives policies you might not like, poor bashing and the like, they have two things going for them. One, is they have promised an in-out referendum on the EU, two, they want to tackle the problem of how to represent England’s interests in Parliament. While many in the Conservative Party want to see something done for England, all they can think of is English MP’s for English votes at Westminster. Hardly inspiring.

That is the current situation that England and Britain are in.

How then can a bad design be reworked to make things better? How can a dis-functioning, part federal system be turned into a better functioning fully federal state, without losing the uniqueness that is Great Britain? That’s what this website and the Constitution of the United Kingdom of Great Britain that is associated with it, will hopefully show.
