A Federal UK

 A New UK Identity.

If successful, and we become a new Federal UK, we are going to need a new UK Flag. The current UK flag is sufficient to represent the UK as it reflects the true state of the UK today. In 1707 the United Kingdom of Great Britain became official by the merging of the English Parliament and the Scottish Parliament into one British parliament. The original Union Jack/flag reflected the merging of the two kingdoms by putting the Scottish flag design and the cross of St. George together. Wales at this time was a principality (not a Kingdom), annexed into England by Henry VIII in 1536. Later Ireland was added to the UK so that an extra cross, the cross of St. Patrick, was added resulting in the current UK Flag we use today.

If the UK becomes a Federal UK with all three parts of the UK being equally represented in the new Federal UK Parliament, and adding N. Ireland to that parliament, we have all four parts of the UK represented at the new Federal UK Parliament. This will be a different arrangement than before and therefore renders the current UK Flag redundant in terms of properly representing the new UK on the world stage. That is why I have designed the new flag and Federal UK coat of Arms. On your right there is a small gallery of the designs. The original UK coat of arms is used with the Welsh dragon  on white and green being placed in the fourth (4th) quarter.

The Coats of Arms for the four(4) Devolved governments of the Federal UK.

The gallery on your right shows the four (4) Coats of Arms that represent the four (4) main parts of the new Federal UK. These governments are responsible for the application of devolved matters within each country. England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland.

Because I like designing flags and that some of you might not like my previous design of a new Federal UK Flag, I have created a gallery of Flags on your right, you may like one of them. You can contact me through various methods shown in the Contact Me web page if you wish to make any constructive comments.
